All Minor Scales (Music Theory Basics)

In this blog post, I'll show you briefly and concisely what the minor scale is and how you can form it. I've also taken the trouble to illustrate each natural or aeolian minor scale on the piano keyboard. hier.

What is a minor scale?

Each minor scale consists of seven notes arranged in a specific pattern of whole and semitone steps. Depending on which root note you play the pattern on, you get the minor scale of the root note. If you start on f# you get f# minor as a result.

Here is the minor formula: whole step – half step – whole step – whole step – half step – whole step – whole step
